This course is intended for system administrators who need to manage the PI system. This course covers all aspects of PI system management including management of PI archives, building PI calculations, troubleshooting and PI system backups.

On completion of this course attendees will have sufficient knowledge to perform all daily or weekly tasks that are required for successful management of a PI system.

Attendees of this course will learn how to:

  • Start and Stop the PI System

  • Configure PI tag attributes

  • Create calculations using Performance Equations

  • Create calculations using PI Asset Framework (PI AF) Analyses

  • Configure Interfaces using the PI Interface Configuration Utility

  • Manage PI Archives

  • Create Backups and Restore

  • Create Performance Points

  • Perform basic troubleshooting
